Chapter Introduces the Chicago Metro Chapter Hall of Fame
Dear APWA Member:

The Executive Committee is pleased to announce a new Award which we are seeking nominations. This Award is the Induction into the Chicago Metro Chapter’s Hall of Fame. Attached please find the Hall of Fame Information Packet. In there you will find all necessary information which explains who is eligible, what the requirements are, how the judging is executed and more.

This Award is designed to be very difficult to receive. It will honor individuals who, over their long career, have advanced the Chapter, Association and contributed to the Public Works Profession with exemplary service while adhering to the highest professional standards.

Please take the time to review this data and if you know someone who may fit these requirements and can establish themselves as one of the elite members, then we certainly want to hear from you.

There is going to be a special presentation for the Inaugural Members held on December 9, 2010 at the Chapter Holiday Luncheon. The Hall of Fame Committee is soliciting nominations for consideration into the Inaugural Class. These would be individuals who were instrumental in founding and establishing APWA and the Chicago Metro Chapter into what it is today. These submittals will be accepted from April 30, 2010 to September 1, 2010. All submittals will be reviewed and the Inaugural Induction Class will be finalized.

There will be a second notice sent to the general membership in October 2010. This will allow for any individual to be considered as an inductee into the Chicago Metro Chapter Hall of Fame. This nomination will follow the timeline established for the Chapter Awards. These inductees will be recognized at the March 2010 Chapter Awards Banquet. Detailed information will accompany this notice.

If you have any questions regarding this new Award please contact the immediate past Chapter President Doug Paulus at (847) 697-6700 or email at dpaulus@hlreng.com.

Sincerely,

The Hall of Fame Committee
