Springboarding off the success of the Public Works Camps held by the Fox Valley Branch... The Suburban Branch announces the date of their first "Camp"!
Join us for an interactive workshop designed to provide a unique learning experience! This is not your typical seminar, as this will provide an opportunity for every attendee to discuss and even, if interested, lead a topic of their choosing. Participants will be able to tailor their day choosing from a variety of topics. The topic ideas are endless, as anything (remotely) related to Public Works is fair game!
Past subject areas have included such acronyms as SSES, I/I, GIS, ADA, CCDD, MUTCD, CADD, and topics including stormwater and detention ponds, pavement preservation, sidewalk replacement, grants, etc.
Do you have ideas for other topics you would like to hear more about? Maybe you would like to share your knowledge regarding a topic you feel would draw the interest of your colleagues. Head over to our Public Works Camp website at http://www.publicworkscamp.org to add your ideas and find out more about this unique educational format. Feel free to post new topics, ideas, or suggestions that will be updated in real time leading up to the day of the camp.
The camp fee is $25 for members and $30 for non-members, and includes breakfast and lunch. Space is limited so sign up early!
Breakfast and lunch are being provided by Kosmos Eatery - Come Hungry!
5 PDHs will be offered for this event!
