Description

The Lake County Stormwater Management Commission, the College of Lake County, and APWA Chicago Metro Chapter--Lake Branch invite you to attend a DECI (
Designated Erosion Control Inspector) Workshop on March 28, 2014 at the College of Lake County.  The Lake County, IL Watershed Development Ordinance requires a registered DECI at job sites with more than 10 acres of hydrologic disturbance, all development with more than 1 acre of hydrological disturbance AND regulatory floodplain OR wetlands on site or on a downstream adjoining property, or development that is less than 1 acre of hydrologic disturbance AND has a regulatory floodplain or wetlands onsite OR on a downstream adjoining property, at the discretion of the Enforcement Officer.

Workshop will feature - Case Studies, Best Management Practices, Directional Drilling, Installation Measures, Basins and Plants, and an Introduction to Meteorogical Prognostication.  Check the Schedule for topics and speakers (subject to change).

Who should attend?
  • All current DECIs seeking relisting.
  • Those interested in becoming an SMC-listed DECI
  • Anyone interested in learning about soil erosion and sediment controls.
