Welcome to the website for the Lake County Branch of the Chicago Metro Chapter of the American Public Works Association. We hope that you can use this section of the Branch’s website as a useful tool to help you find out more about our worthwhile organization. The Lake Branch serves Public Works professionals in Lake County, Illinois, by promoting professional excellence and public awareness through education and advocacy and by hosting many events throughout the year. Through monthly meetings, regular educational seminars, and even a few networking events, such as our summer golf outing, our members have the opportunity to get together to share information and discuss issues and trends that are relevant to our industry. We encourage you to attend any of the events that interest you, even if you are not yet a member. Join us to discover the benefits of APWA and to become more involved in the Lake County Public Works Professional Community. We encourage you to serve on a committee, run for the Board, or help plan events within our group – one we like to call “the best damn branch in the nation”. |
