PWX Joint Scholarship Program
The Chicago Metro Chapter and Branches of APWA are pleased to provide several scholarships for its members to attend the International Public Works Expo – PWX – from August 26–29, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri, and experience “The Power of Public Works! Scholarships cover expenses of registration, travel and lodging, up to $2,000.
Applicants or their employers must be members of the Chicago Metro Chapter of APWA.
The 2018 Fox Valley Branch scholarship application deadline was March 23, 2018.
The Lake Branch of the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of the American Public Works Association has scholarships available for eligible students pursuing a degree in Public Works Administration, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, and individuals pursuing continuing education courses relating to public works. The Southwest Branch of the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of the American Public Works Association has annual scholarships for eligible students pursuing a degree in Public Works Administration, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, individuals pursuing continuing education courses related to public works and the Illinois Roads Scholar Program.
Southwest Branch scholarship applications were due by April 13, 2018 and recipients of the 2018 scholarship awards have been selected. Check back in early spring for the 2019 applications.
The Suburban Branch of the APWA Chicago Metro Chapter is once again offering Professional Development and Full-Time Student scholarships. Professional Development scholarships will be awarded to individuals who are improving their public works knowledge and are employed by APWA Suburban Branch member organizations. Full-Time Student scholarships will go to individuals who plan to study a public works-related field and either live within the Suburban Branch geographic boundaries or are employed by an APWA Suburban Branch member organization.
