Want to attend a conference, seminar, certificate course, or take an eLearning class? The Chicago Metro Chapter wants ANY member or employee of a member agency to apply for a stipend that could fund their class, seminar, certificate, training program, etc. and will help with professional growth and development in our public works field. This new focus for our Chapter program (now offered 2x per year) aims to support APWA members and employees at all levels through reimbursements for endeavors in training, credentialing and continuing education in a variety of non-degree programs. Suburban The Suburban Branch of APWA Chicago Metro Chapter is once again offering Professional Development and Full-Time Student scholarships. Professional Development scholarships will be awarded to individuals who work in the public works field and are employed by APWA Suburban Branch member organizations. Professional Development scholarships help individuals who are improving their public works knowledge, by providing financial assistance which may or may not be covered by their employer. Full-Time Student scholarships will go to individuals who plan to study a public works-related field and either live within the Suburban Branch geographic boundaries or are employed by an APWA Suburban Branch member organization. |
