Topic Summary: 
This presentation will give an overview of various Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) techniques with a focus on methods that minimize the duration of impacts to traffic. The presenter will discuss several examples of successful ABC implementation.
Speaker Bio:

George Gorrill, PE, SE is Thomas Engineering Group's Lead Structural Engineer with 20 years of experience in design-bid-build and design-build bridge projects throughout the Midwest.
George has extensive experience in bridge inspection and has served as an instructor for several National Highway Institute (NHI) courses in IL and throughout the country including Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges, Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges, and Bridge Inspection Refresher Training.
CDOT Lunch & Learn is a unique opportunities to earn one free PDH while networking with peers during the lunch hour! Each month, a new topic and expert speaker will be offered covering an important industry issue.
No cost to attend in the spirit of collaboration between the 
APWA City Branch and the City of Chicago.
